A day outside!

Picking up pine cones or I should say what THEY call pine cones
Playing with sticks!! Don't worry! No one got hurt and I IMMEDIATELY took the sticks away!

Playing Peek a Boo!

Jack knocking on the neighbors fence. Palmer at the tree

It was finally nice enought (high 40's and sunny) to go out and play for a short time today. The boys have been growing very tired of being in the house every day due to rain, snow , and ice. They love the fresh air and I did too!! We took a walk around the block and looked for pine cones ( their favorite thing to do) Here is a fre pictures!!

Snow, coloring, mail and an update

The boys have FINALLY learned their ABC's. It has been the death of me to teach them. I have been singing and singing and writing and writing over and over and they have been REFUSING to learn them. I would sing and they would tell me to HUSH. Or they would not repeat them. I was getting so worried. Asking "What is wrong with them? Is something mentally wrong do they need to be evaluated? " And then they got it! They say them FINALLY! Or at least Palmer says them over and over again and Jack says them when asked!!! Hey it is a start!!!

Though Palmer did do something cute! When I was writing them I asked him to repeat them and he said J K L M N CEREAL P Q....I said what? I realized that the O to him looked like a Cheerio.........How silly

Palmer is on a kick rick now and thinks he is the mail man. Our mailman wears a blue hat and carries a boue bag so Palmer has to have a blue hat too!! Here is Palmer as the Mailman! He will walk around the house giving everyone mail letting everyone know he is the mailman and his name is "Joe".....Funny thing is our mailman's name is Patrick hmmmmmmmm.
Here is my artist at work! Jack can sit and color for hours and hours!!!

Over the past 2 weeks on Tuesdays Louisville has seen snow. The boys have loved it!! I however have not! They are toastly warm in their snow suits and I am freezing to death!!!! They have a ball making a snowman. It had a head though Palmer knocked it off. We did put a new head on it before going inside! Palmer in the red hat

We had the boys Fall pictures taken recently. Oh what an experiences that was. Jack was so not interested in getting his picture taken on this particular day. And the photographer was just horrible and was not interested in getting the kids to smile or making them laugh. So I was not that happy with them. Palmer is almost always happy and laughing. He is always ready to say "CHEESE" for the camera. Here are a few pictures from the attempt of fall pictures. I am trying to post pictures. Thankfully a very kind person took the time to tell me how to do it. Thank you Shana!

A few new pictures

I still have no clue how to post pictures and write underneath them. As soon as I have a free second to figure out this blogger stuff I am going to work on it!!!. Here are some recent pictures of the boys.

They are in such a fun stage right now. They love pretending they are other people. They will come up to you and say " I am Joe" (from Blue's Clue's) or I am so and so. And they will only respond to that name for the time being. It is so funny. They also they they are each other!! Thankfully we can tell them apart!!

Halloween......

Both :) Jack on Left Palmer on Right

Jack soooo not enjoying his Rooster outfit :(

Can you believe the boys are 17 months already? They are getting so big and changing everyday it seems! They are such little men!! Their personalities are so different it is unbelievable! Palmer has turned into the biggest cuddle bunny!! He loves to give hugs and kisses and sit on your lap or rest his head on your shoulder! Jack also loves to give kisses but it so busy seeing everything that he does not have time to stop and give hugs! Palmer has also turned into a MAJOR Mommas boy. Which of course bothers Jeffrey to no end as Palmer was always "his baby." Of course I love it :)

The boys had their first official Halloween this year. They were too little last year and still on the monitors so we did not take them out. This year we went to about 6 houses in the neighborhood. It was cold and rainy outside but the boys had a great time marching up the steps and knocking on doors.

We had pictures made today that i am attaching. There is a picture of them in their Halloween outfits. Palmer had a great time getting his picture taken but Jack really did not want any part of it.

Goodness me.........

I am so bad about keeping up with this blog! I think about updating it all the time but never get around to it. However, I find time every day to check 3 blogs that I read!! Go figure!

Well the boys are doing great! Growing up fast! They will be 17 months on Halloween! They are both walking and running everywhere!

Their language development has really taken off! They understand just about everything we are saying (Except of course NO!) and say and repeat words we say to them. They can say more words than I think they actually know what they mean.

I will try to be a bit better with the updates!! Here are a few pictures of the boys taken a few weeks ago!

A long and over due update

What a difference a year makes! Here are the boys exactly 1 year from the following pictures when they were in the NICU. 06/03/2006
This is Jack and mommy @ 4days old 06/03/05
This is Palmer at 4 days old 06/03/05

This is last week at the park in town. Jack on left and Palmer on right.

Goodness it has been awhile since I updated!!!

The boys are doing great! Jack is walking independence when he wants to. Palmer on the other hand CAN walk but choose to crawl. We were a bit worried about their language/social skills so we had them evaluated by First Steps. The therapist said they were just mildly delayed which can be common in twins. He just suggest we talk more to them :)

Since the last update we have had their First birthday!!! I was a lot of fun! We also just recently had their "due date" party. My husband is convinced that we will be having a party for everything they do.....Hey why not :)

I keep updates more frequent!!

Here are my beautiful Peas in a Pods

And so it begins.............

About 9 or so months ago a good friend of mine sent me a link to someone blog. They were going through the same health issues with their child that I was going through with mine. I was a great outlet for me to read her blog and see her son progress so well. From there I went to her links and saw other peoples blogs and then I was hooked! No turning back now!

So I got to thinking.......I should do a blog. I mean if I am spending so much time reading about other folks maybe I should start writing about my kids, husband, family, etc.

So Here it is!! TAA DAA!

About me... I am a mother to Identical twin boys that are 10 months old. They are the joy of my life. I am a nurse but I am currently staying home to take care of my kiddos. I have a wonderful husband (well most of the time :) who is also a nurse.

I guess that is about it for now.
